Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Food Truck Server to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will be passionate about good quality food, possess strong organisational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Previous hospitality experience is needed, this is not a first time role, although training is provided. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors and engage with a diverse customer base. It is an ad-hoc role, therefore not consistent work, would suit someone with other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Prepare simple food items in accordance with food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area
- Handle transactions accurately
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and giving change
- Experience with food preparation or culinary activities is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a lively outdoor setting
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
