Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Delivery Driver / General Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently while supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have previous delivery driver experience, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of heavy lifting. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and forklift, to deliver goods to various locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as loading and unloading goods, organising stock, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during deliveries and warehouse activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise.
- Assist with general operative tasks as required, including heavy lifting and stock movement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for driving a company van.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours of four hours per day, Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible working hours combined with practical experience in delivery logistics and warehouse operations.
