Are you an experienced driver looking for stable, well-paid work handling valuable metal materials? Greater Metal Company is seeking experienced Metal Collection & Delivery Drivers for permanent, full-time position. This is a genuine, long-term role not seasonal or temporary work.
This is NOT a standard delivery job. You’ll be collecting and delivering high-value metal materials and scrap, which requires both driving skill and a basic understanding of metal types, weights, and handling procedures. We need drivers with*integrity, reliability, technical knowledge, and professionalism. We trust our drivers with valuable materials, and in return, we offer job security, fair pay, and weekly wages you can depend on.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Metal Collection & Delivery Driver, you’ll:
– Collect high-value metal materials and scrap from multiple locations within your designated area
– Deliver metal materials safely and securely to clients, following strict handling and safety protocols
– Understand and apply basic knowledge of metal types, weights, and material values
– Maintain complete confidentiality regarding items collected, routes, client information, and pricing
– Plan efficient collection and delivery routes to ensure timely pickups and safe delivery
– Load, secure, and protect valuable metal materials carefully, ensuring no loss or damage during transit
– Maintain accurate records of all collections and deliveries, including weights and material types
– Communicate professionally with dispatchers and clients regarding collection/delivery status and material details
– Perform routine vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately
– Assist with weighing, inspection, and assessment of metal materials when required
– Follow all security procedures, safety protocols, and company procedures without exception

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Safely operate collection and delivery vehicles in full compliance with all traffic laws and security regulations
– Collect and deliver high-value metal materials and scrap from/to multiple designated locations within your area
– Identify and apply basic knowledge of different metal types, weights, and material values
– Follow strict security protocols and company procedures for handling and transporting valuable metals
– Maintain complete confidentiality regarding all items, routes, clients, and business operations
– Plan efficient collection and delivery routes to meet daily targets and schedules
– Load, secure, and protect valuable metal materials carefully, ensuring safe transit with no loss or damage
– Assist with weighing and inspection of metal materials when required
– Complete all collections and deliveries within scheduled timeframes and record transactions accurately
– Communicate professionally with dispatchers and clients about collection/delivery status and material details
– Conduct daily vehicle checks, including safety systems and cargo security, and report any concerns immediately
– Maintain a professional, trustworthy manner with all clients and colleagues
– Never discuss collection details, delivery information, routes, or material values outside of work (confidentiality essential)
– Adhere to all safety and handling procedures for metal materials at all times

WORKING HOURS:
Standard Schedule:
– Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
– Every other Saturday: Hours vary based on workload
– **Flexible early starts:** You may be requested to start earlier (e.g., 6:00 AM ) on certain days; advance notice will be given when possible
– Consistent schedule – you’ll know your rota in advance
Note: Early starts are part of the role and may be requested to meet collection/delivery deadlines or client requirements.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
✓ Proven experience as a collection/delivery driver (essential)
✓ Valid driving licence with a clean driving record(essential)
✓ Clean criminal record– Background check required (essential)
✓ Commercial driving experience with strong safety and security practices
✓ Basic understanding of metals, weights, and material values – This is important (essential or highly desirable)
✓ Trustworthy, reliable, and honest– This is non-negotiable
✓ Excellent organisational and time management skills
✓ Professional attitude and discretion – you understand confidentiality matters
✓ Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients
✓ Ability to follow security protocols and safety procedures without exception
✓ Ability to perform early starts when required (flexibility essential)
✓ Good physical fitness for loading/unloading metal materials (can be heavy)
✓ Previous metal industry, scrap metal, or recycling experience is a bonus
✓ Experience with material weighing and assessment is an advantage
