We are seeking a motivated and attentive Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team during Friday and Saturday service. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient service of food to our guests, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, food service, and culinary arts to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel settings is advantageous, along with strong communication and guest service skills. All roles are paid positions, including internships.

Duties

• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with food preparation and plating as required, supporting the kitchen team
• Ensure all dishes are presented according to quality standards before delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service stations and dining areas
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders
• Uphold food safety standards at all times, including proper handling and storage of dishes
• Support with basic meal preparation tasks when necessary
• Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to guest requests and inquiries
• Ensure proper phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest questions
• Assist with setting up tables and clearing after service as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles such as barista, culinary assistant, or hotel staff is preferred but not essential
• Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• A positive attitude and reliability are essential for this role
