Role Overview
At Support Resolution we aim to recruit specifically for the People We Support, ensuring a Person Centred Approach. For this role, the Local Authority have highlighted that there is a requirement for Male staff, as this aligns with the person.
The role is to support on a 2-1 basis and so you will be working in pairs.
A background in Positive Behaviour Support and or Physical Intervention is advantageous, although it is NOT foressen that Physical Intervention will be required. The principles of redirection and distraction are generally key to some of the People We Support.
Support Resolution have collaberated with Liverpool Local Authority, Pre registration with the Care Quality Commission, ensuring that our Model of Care aligns with their Strategic Vision. This means that there will be oppertunities to grow with us.
About Us
Support Resolution is a Merseyside based family-owned company, established by a local family, to support local young individuals. A Young People support provider for individuals –
· DOMICILIARY CARE 13 – 17 (18 – 65) Age Range
· SUPPORTED LIVING 18 – 25 (65) Age Range
That may have a Learning Disability and or Autism, a physical disability, and young people that may have suffered a childhood trauma
We support Children from the age of 13 in thier own home and to access the community. Where required we will work with the Young Person to support them on their chosen Educational or Employment Pathway.
Our Education and Well-being Specialist
With a master’s in special educational Needs Coordination (SENCO award), and a 25 year background in teaching our specialist supports the team and People We Support with our Hybrid “Care Support & Education Model”
Support Resolution work with our Young People to use their preferred method of communication, whilst applying a Positive Behaviour Support approach, and understanding the need and importance of their Sensory Diet
Responsibilities
This role is ideal for individuals that have an understanding of Autism, Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and are able to work with a Therapeutic and Positive Behavioural approach.
