We look after patients who are undergoing intensive chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, stem cell transplantation, symptom management and end of life care.

We are seeking newly qualified or experienced nurses who would like to develop their oncology / haematology knowledge and skill within a fast-paced environment.

We are a friendly and energetic team with a wealth of experience and knowledge who actively encourage staff development and engagement.

To maintain high standards of nursing care and ensuring that nursing objectives are achieved using a systematic approach to nursing care.

To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised patient centred care and provide support and advice to other staff as appropriate.

To receive patients and their relatives in accordance with recognised policies and ensure that they are kept informed of treatment and progress.

To arrange the care of patient’s property, in accordance with Unit policies and within the limitations of hospital responsibilities.

Supervise and support educational needs of junior staff eg Nurse Associates and Health care Support Workers
