Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients and meals according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are met.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods.
• Support catering events by preparing and packaging meals as required.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation is advantageous.
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new culinary techniques will be highly regarded.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative during busy periods.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation tasks.
