Overview
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a lively environment and possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of cafe operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and high-quality service for all patrons. Previous experience in food service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are key to success in this role.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet safety and hygiene standards.
• Serve customers at the counter or table, providing friendly and attentive service to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including clearing tables and cleaning equipment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system, including processing payments and giving change.
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and health & safety policies at all times.
• Support team members during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility across different roles within the cafe.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in food service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A friendly demeanour with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
