Overview
We are looking for a new team member at the Bobbersmill Cafe in Nottingham.
The cafe is a busy and wholesome environment with customers from many walks of life, the successful candidate will need to be confident and considerate with all manner of people.
The cafe is open 6:30am – 2pm weekdays and until 12pm Saturdays
Tuesdays – Fridays 9:30am – 2:15pm
Saturdays – 9:30am – 1pm
We need a part time role to help with both Fridays and Saturdays which are our busiest.
The role is part time and at this time temporary to help cover for a team member who is having some health issues, the role could become permement.
Responsibilities
- General kitchen duties and food preparation
- Creating and serving orders
- Cleaning as you go + deep cleaning at quieter periods.
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit.
- Daily cleaning and closing down duties in the restaurant and prep-kitchen areas.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of of the dining areas, staff areas and bathrooms.
- Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Provide exceptional guest services, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest services and customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Kitchen experience or culinary background mandatory.
- Flexibility to cover for staff holidays and support other areas of the business.
- Every Saturday 9am – 1pm is an absolute requirement
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
