We’re looking for an Operations Customer Assistant to join our team at M&S Food Lothian Road . This is the role that keeps everything flowing behind the scenes, from deliveries and stock to making sure the shop floor is full, tidy, and ready for our customers.

It’s fast-paced, physical, and hands-on. You’ll be on your feet, moving stock, working deliveries, using digital tools, and supporting the wider store team wherever needed. No two shifts feel the same, so this is perfect for someone who likes being busy, working with purpose, and being part of a team that gets things done.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help keep the store running smoothly by:

• Working deliveries and moving stock quickly and safely
• Keeping our shelves full, clean, and customer-ready
• Using digital tools to track stock and support availability
• Working across the store when needed, from back of house to shop floor
• Supporting your team during busy periods
• Staying organised, focused, and one step ahead

What we’re looking for

You don’t need retail experience, but you do need to bring the right attitude.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Fast-moving, reliable, and ready to get stuck in
• Comfortable with physical work and being on their feet
• A team player who supports others without being asked
• Digitally confident, or happy to learn
• Flexible with shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and busy trading periods
