PASTORAL AND WELLBEING MENTOR – Start Date: September 2026
TA4 Salary Range Band 5 (points 1922)
Full time (36.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year). We are open to discussing flexible or part-time working arrangements to attract the best candidate for the role.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly skilled Pastoral and Wellbeing Mentor to join our Inclusion Team. This is a key role within the school, focused on supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, removing barriers to learning and ensuring all children feel safe, supported and ready to succeed.
The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCo, Deputy Headteacher (Inclusion Lead), staff and families to deliver a coherent, high-quality approach to pastoral care, emotional support and mental health provision across the school.
About the Role
You will:
Provide high-quality pastoral and emotional support for pupils
Deliver targeted interventions (e.g. ELSA, Zones of Regulation, nurture and SEMH support)
Support pupils with a range of needs including anxiety, friendship difficulties and emotional regulation
Act as a visible and approachable adult for pupils across school
Support pupils who find transitions challenging, including at the start of the school day
Work proactively with families to ensure a joined-up approach to wellbeing
Contribute to a strong whole-school culture of mental health and inclusion
You will also play a role in leading and promoting wellbeing across the school, supporting staff and contributing to a consistent, inclusive approach.
