Drainage & Civils Operative job at Glasgow Full Time NEW

EK Drainage Solutions are looking for an experienced Drainage & Civils Operative to join our growing team based in Glasgow.

Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years experience within drainage, civils, groundwork or utilities and must be experienced operating plant machinery, including excavators.

The role will involve drainage repairs, excavations, reinstatement works, pipe installations, ducting works and general civils duties across a variety of sites throughout Central Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out drainage and civils works to a high standard
• Operating excavators and small plant machinery safely and efficiently
• Assisting with drainage repairs, pipe installations and reinstatements
• Excavating around live services safely
• Using hand tools and power tools on-site
• Loading/unloading materials and maintaining a clean working area
• Following all health & safety procedures on-site
• The successful applicant may also assist with other drainage works including CCTV surveys, jetting and drainage investigations. Training will be provided where required

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience in drainage, civils, groundwork or utilities
• Proven experience operating plant machinery/excavators
• Applicants must be willing to carry out manual groundwork duties and hand digging where required
• Valid UK driving licence preferred
• Good understanding of health & safety on construction sites
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work within a small team
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• CPCS/NPORS advantageous
