TALES House London is a curated, multi-brand experiential retail space by Bellafricana, located on Oxford Street. The space brings together a rotating selection of African and diaspora brands across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and creative industries.

More than a traditional retail store, TALES House is designed as a storytelling and discovery space where customers engage with products, people, culture, and experiences in an immersive and memorable way. The space combines retail, community, and culture to create a unique customer experience both in-store and beyond.

The space operates 7 days a week (approx. 10 am – 8 pm) with a small, close-knit team.

Job Overview

We are looking for an energetic, confident, and customer-focused Retail Brand Experience Assistant to help deliver an exceptional in-store experience at TALES House London.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, understands the importance of customer engagement, and is passionate about creating memorable retail and brand experiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in representing the TALES House experience by welcoming customers, supporting brand storytelling, maintaining the visual atmosphere of the space, and ensuring customers feel connected to the brands and culture represented within the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage customers, creating a warm, memorable, and culturally rich in-store experience
• Build strong customer relationships through confident, friendly, and engaging communication
• Support sales across multiple brands while helping customers discover products suited to their interests
• Communicate product details, brand stories, and the uniqueness of featured brands clearly and confidently
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive atmosphere within the space
• Support in-store activations, campaigns, pop-ups, and experiential events
• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and overall visual presentation of the store at all times
• Support visual merchandising activities, including product displays, arrangement, and presentation standards
• Assist with merchandising, stock handling, tagging, replenishment, and inventory organisation
• Ensure product displays remain visually appealing, customer-friendly, and aligned with the TALES House brand experience
• Support day-to-day retail operations, including opening and closing procedures where required
• Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional customer experience
• Represent TALES House London professionally and positively at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related courses preferred
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or customer-facing roles is an advantage
• Experience or interest in visual merchandising and retail presentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident, friendly, and comfortable engaging with customers
• Good visual eye and strong attention to detail
• Strong understanding of store presentation and customer experience standards
• Proactive, organised, and able to take initiative
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-brand retail environment
• Available for flexible shifts, including weekends
• Interest in fashion, lifestyle, beauty, culture, or creative brands
