Temporary Accounts Payable Officer job at London Full Time NEW

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional with a background working in high-volume environments? Do you have excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload accurately and efficiently? Are you looking for a flexible hybrid opportunity with a predominantly remote working pattern?

An organisation is seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Officer to join on an interim basis to support a busy finance function during a period of increased workload. This role offers hybrid working, with one day per week in the London office and the remainder working from home.

The role will pay between £17–£19 per hour via an umbrella company.

Candidates who already hold a basic DBS check will be at a significant advantage.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing high volumes of invoices accurately and within agreed timeframes
• Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies effectively
• Supporting payment runs and maintaining strong accounts payable controls
• Assisting with reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth invoice approval processes
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc transactional finance duties as required

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience working within a high-volume Accounts Payable role
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
• The ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using Business Central would be highly desirable
• A proactive and reliable approach, with the ability to work independently
