Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health status is maintained
• Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Provide compassionate Alzheimer’s and dementia care, implementing memory care strategies to enhance residents’ comfort and safety
• Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Engage residents in social activities and behavioral management techniques to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Requirements

• Prior experience in senior care, nursing homes, assisted living, or home & community care is highly desirable
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, dementia care, and behavior management techniques
• Certification or training in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is advantageous
• Ability to operate EMR systems accurately and efficiently
• Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to home & community care or group home settings
• Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and excellent communication abilities
