Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain a high standard of food safety will contribute significantly to the success of our restaurant.

Duties

• Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to.
• Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining excellent time management skills.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary basics.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
• A friendly disposition with a passion for guest services and hospitality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
• A proactive approach to helping colleagues and contributing positively to the team dynamic.
