Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
• Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
• Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions regularly to ensure accuracy
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for review by management
• Support the organisation in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies
• Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and record-keeping practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience or strong familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• Experience managing accounts payable is desirable
• Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Previous voluntary or unpaid bookkeeping experience is advantageous but not essential; a genuine interest in finance is required
