Job Title: Van Driver / Warehouse Operative

Responsible To: Lead Production Controller

Responsible For: NA

Working Hrs – 39 hrs per week.

Mon – Thurs – 07:30 – 16:30

Fri – 07:30 – 12:30

Main Purpose of the Job

This is a dual role that involves transportation of parts to sub – contractors and customers alongside warehousing duties, ensuring goods are packed and dispatched correctly, issuing of material to the shop floor and maintain a clean working environment across the shop floor.

Main Responsibilities

· Ensure Company truck is in a safe and roadworthy condition

· Ensure Company truck is driven in a responsible manner

· Ensure all contents of the truck are adequately secured

· Ensure cleanliness of vehicle inside and outside

· Ensuring a clean environment is maintained particularly the floor area

· Pack goods for despatch

Key Tasks Defined

· Loading and unloading truck

· Driving Company truck to locations as instructed

· Use of vibro – mill and washing machine

· Ensure all components are packed securely to eliminate damage in transit

· Cleaning and pumping out machines

· Loading and unloading lorries

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment

· Ensure compliance with health and safety

· Ability to pack and load efficiently

· Must be aged 25 or over to drive company vehicles

Qualifications or knowledge Required

· Driving licence essential

· Forklift licence preferred

Experience Required

· Driving

· Manual handling and loading

· Previous experience of using a forklift would be advantageous

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
