Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide personalised educational support to student . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Also need to be able to teach the 11 plus (Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non Verbal Reasoning)
Duties
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the specific learning requirements of each student.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards and student goals.
- Assess students’ progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support students with special educational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a formal educational setting.
- Experience working with children.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage students and their families.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in various learning situations.
- A relevant degree or qualification in education or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
