About Us:
We are a growing and reputable UK-based haulage company providing reliable and efficient transport solutions across the country. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced and highly organised Transport Manager to join our team and oversee daily logistics operations.
Role Overview:
As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient coordination and management of our vehicle fleet and drivers. You will ensure all operations comply with UK transport regulations while maintaining high service standards and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support drivers to ensure timely and safe deliveries
- Ensure full compliance with UK laws, including Operator Licence requirements and Driver Hours regulations
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing, and inspections
- Control transport costs and improve operational efficiency
- Handle transport-related issues and resolve problems quickly
- Maintain accurate records and reports (tachographs, fuel usage, maintenance, etc.)
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Transport Manager (preferably in haulage/logistics)
- Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Road Haulage (required)
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office
