Communities Together East Anglia, a Stowmarket-based charity, delivers a range of vital services including rural transport. Our Community Transport team is currently seeking a Booking Administrator for a 10-hour-per-week position on a 21 month fixed-term contract.
As Booking Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the bookings coordination team by providing essential administrative assistance. The role also includes covering for colleagues during holidays, with additional hours paid for the cover provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Client Support:
– Handle booking requests by phone, email, online forms, and face-to-face.
– Offer accurate information on our services, eligibility criteria, schedules, and pricing.
– Provide patient, empathetic support to vulnerable passengers, including older adults, people with disabilities, and those facing mobility challenges.
– Maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional manner at all times.
Communication & Coordination:
– Liaise with drivers, escorts, volunteers, and operations staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
– Communicate promptly and clearly about last-minute changes, delays, or issues.
– Collaborate with external partners such as social care teams, NHS services, community organisations, and local councils.
Administrative Support:
– Assist the Transport Manager with straightforward administrative tasks as required.
Role Details:
– Hybrid working arrangement: Minimum two days per week in the office.
– Flexible hours: working within 3 days per week unless providing holiday cover.
– Enhanced DBS check required.
– Familiar with working with Microsoft Word, Excell and Power Point.
– A clean driving licence is desirable.
