Technical Data Analyst (VP) – Risk & ESG job at London Full Time NEW

This VP-level Technical Systems Analyst role will play a key part in delivering a new data platform focused on Risk and ESG reporting. You will bridge business and technology, driving requirements, data design, and system implementation across a highly regulated environment.

Description

• Lead technical and functional analysis for ESG and risk-focused data initiatives
• Gather, document, and translate business and system requirements into detailed technical specifications
• Support the implementation of a new data platform, including integration, configuration, and deployment
• Work closely with business, data governance, and technology teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures
• Develop data lineage, mapping, and flow across complex system landscapes
• Collaborate with architects and engineers on data pipelines, integration patterns, and metadata frameworks
• Ensure compliance with ESG regulations and data governance standards (e.g., BCBS239)
• Support agile delivery, including user story definition, testing, and validation

Profile

• 10+ years’ experience in technical/business systems analysis within financial services
• Strong background in data analysis, data modelling, and database design
• Proven experience working on risk, regulatory, or ESG-related initiatives
• Strong technical skills, including SQL and Python
• Experience producing technical requirements documentation and working across full SDLC
• Strong understanding of data lineage, data governance, and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with engineering and QA teams
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (Azure, Databricks) is advantageous

Job Offer

• Competitive daily rate between GBP 510 and GBP 890. INSIDE IR35
