Team Member/Barista job at Acton Full Time

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in food and beverage preparation while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. All roles are paid, including internships, ensuring fair compensation for your efforts.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
• Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, providing friendly and attentive service
• Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with precision
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
• Restock supplies as needed, including cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients
• Assist in food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times and maximise customer satisfaction

Experience

• Previous barista experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for all new team members
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and standards is desirable
• Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial
• Basic maths skills are essential for handling transactions accurately
• Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
