Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide 24-hour care for individuals requiring ongoing assistance. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, and fostering independence within a caring and professional environment. The successful candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and capable of working flexible hours to meet the needs of those in their care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised support in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring all needs are met with dignity and respect
• Assist with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding
• Support clients with medication management and health appointments as required
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary, ensuring safe transportation
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
• Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, including infection control measures

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or vulnerable adults is highly desirable
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely is preferred
• Knowledge of childcare practices or relevant care plans is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
• Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
• Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care
• Ability to work flexible hours across a 24-hour rota, including nights if required

Pay: £26,400.00-£36,042.98 per year
