We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Street Dance Teacher who also possesses general teaching skills to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dance, particularly street styles, and a strong background in sports coaching and anatomy. Street Dance Teaching Hours are every Saturday Term time 9.30am – 10.30am plus 12.15pm – 1.45pm.
Between 10.30am – 12.15pm you will assist with other classes in the school.

Duties

• Deliver engaging street dance classes tailored to various skill levels, ensuring students develop their technique and confidence.
• Plan and organise lesson programmes that incorporate creative choreography and fundamental dance principles.
• Provide general teaching support across different subject areas as required, adapting instructional methods to meet diverse learner needs.
• Monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate continuous improvement.
• Ensure the safety of all participants during classes by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes enjoyment and respect among students.
• Stay updated on current dance trends and educational practices to enhance teaching quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sports coaching or dance instruction, with a particular focus on street dance styles.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dance and physical activity, enabling effective injury prevention and student support.
• Previous experience in teaching or tutoring, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Enthusiasm for working with diverse age groups and fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple classes or sessions efficiently.
• A recognised qualification in dance or sports coaching is desirable but not essential.
• A commitment to maintaining a professional attitude and continuous personal development within the role.

Pay: £15.00-£35.00 per hour
