musicMagpie are part of the AO family — a company that shares our passion for putting customers first, caring for our people, and making a real difference.
musicMagpie is on a mission to make technology more affordable while helping to protect the planet. By focusing on recycling, refurbishing, and repurposing tech and physical media, they offer millions of customers a smart, sustainable, and trusted way to buy, sell, and rent devices. From phones and tablets to games consoles and laptops, everything comes together in one place — making it easier for customers to make better choices for both their wallets and the world.
Since joining AO, we’ve been working closely together, creating exciting opportunities to shape the future of sustainable tech and drive meaningful impact, and together, we’re building something bigger — and making a difference that lasts.
We’re all about making tech work smarter, for our customers, our Magpies, and the business. That’s where you come in.
As a .NET Software Developer, you’ll be responsible for analysing system requirements, prioritising what matters most, and writing clean, testable code using .NET programming languages. You’ll play a key role in building, improving and maintaining the systems that power our Buy, Sell and Rent offering.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of two exciting development teams (Product & Pricing or Website Development), with both teams working on business critical platforms that help shape the customer journey and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
We’re big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They’re our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.
But we’re more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK’s most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it’s the exact same for our AOers too.
We truly believe it’s more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it’s about more than just a CV, it’s about what makes you, YOU.
As a musicMagpie employee, you’ll be part of a company that’s making a real difference, redefining how people buy and sell tech, and shaping a greener, more sustainable future. Plus, you’ll have the chance to learn, grow and innovate alongside a team that’s friendly, supportive and always looking ahead!
