Location: Torquay (Site-Based)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: From £32,500 per annum (subject to review following successful completion of probation)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Statutory Service Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a site-based role in Torquay, with occasional travel required to support works at other locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and fault rectification of security systems on site, ensuring all equipment remains fully operational and compliant. You will also provide occasional support with installation projects when required.
This position includes participation in a 1-in-4 weekly call-out rota.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on security systems.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain and service Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems.
- Respond to service calls and corrective maintenance requirements.
- Assist with installation works as required.
- Complete all relevant documentation and reports accurately.
- Liaise professionally with clients and site staff on a daily basis.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements.
Requirements – Essential
- Experience working with Intruder Alarm, CCTV and Access Control systems.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good IT literacy and confidence using software and digital systems.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Knowledge of multiple security system manufacturers and platforms.
