Summer Temp Sales and Marketing Assistant
Manchester City Centre | £2,200/month + completion bonus | Full-time temporary position
If you’re spending summer in Manchester and want to do something more than just pay the bills, this could be worth your time. We’re hiring motivated people to join our sales and marketing team for a structured three-month placement that offers proper hands-on experience, not just admin or coffee runs.
You’ll be working alongside our business development team, meeting real customers, supporting live campaigns, and learning how a commercial consultancy actually operates. It’s designed for people who want to build skills that matter, communication, persuasion, client relationships, and commercial awareness, while earning consistently over summer. If you perform well and want to continue, there may be opportunities to stay on part-time or full-time from September.
What the summer looks like
This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be out meeting potential clients, having real conversations about what we do, identifying opportunities, and helping to grow our customer base across Manchester and the surrounding areas. You’ll also be involved in campaign planning, supporting events, tracking results, and working closely with the wider team to hit targets.
It’s fast-paced and social. You’ll get direction and support, but you’ll also have autonomy to take ownership of your own performance. Expect to build confidence quickly, get comfortable with rejection, and learn what it takes to succeed in a customer-facing commercial role.

We’re looking for people who are staying in Manchester over summer and can commit to the full three months without long breaks. You might be a student between academic years, a recent graduate exploring your options, or someone early in your career wanting to try something new.
No prior sales or marketing experience is required. What matters more is that you’re personable, willing to learn, comfortable speaking to strangers, and motivated to make the most of the opportunity. If you’re someone who prefers structure, clear goals, and seeing the results of your own effort, you’ll probably enjoy this.
Hours, pay and details
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm
Pay: £2,200 per month, guaranteed
Completion bonus: £1,000 paid at the end of the three-month period, conditional on completing the full placement with no scheduled absences and meeting agreed performance expectations
Location: Manchester city centre (on-site, not remote)
Contract type: Temporary summer position
Duration: Minimum three-month commitment required
Start date: Immediate start preferred
There may be opportunities to continue working with us part-time or full-time from September depending on your performance, availability and business needs.
