Roofing Labourer job at Glasgow Full Time

Overview
We are seeking dedicated Roofing Labourers to join our established Flat Roofing teams. This role involves assisting with various roofing projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in working at height or roofing is very advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers steady employment with opportunities for skill development and career progression. We are based in the central belt and most work is carried out in this area. However we do cover contracts that can involve working away from home for short periods within the UK.

Duties

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems
• Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
• Handle heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensuring speedy and continuous flow of materials and support onto site.
• Ensuring prompt disposal of construction debris from work area to site compound/skips or vehicles
• Perform basic carpentry tasks related to roof prep
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site

Experience

• Prior experience in construction, roofing, or related trades is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
• Familiarity with schematics, hand tools, power tools and heavy lifting is advantageous
• Ability to follow technical instructions accurately and work as part of a team
• Physically capable of performing heavy lifting and working at heights in various weather conditions
• Willingness to learn new skills and develop expertise in roofing techniques

Pay: £12.71-£13.58 per hour
