Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This role involves various roofing tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of roofs, as well as general labour duties on construction sites.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
• Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of roofing structures.
• Assist in the fabrication of roofing components and other construction materials as needed.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
• Perform masonry work when required, including bricklaying and stonework.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials on-site.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Skills

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing and construction tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Experience in masonry work is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong understanding of building principles, including plumb and level techniques.
• Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks consistently throughout the day.
• Welding skills are a plus for certain roofing applications.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues on-site.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.
