Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with roofing projects and general labour tasks on-site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the construction industry, working on diverse projects that require physical effort and technical knowledge. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to gain practical experience in roofing and related trades.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to support roofing projects
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for fabrication or repair tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, timber, or metal sheets to facilitate roofing work
- Support masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or fabrication tasks as required on-site
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and organisation of materials throughout the project lifecycle
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or roofing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Pay: £80.00-£250.00 per day
