Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various roofing and construction tasks. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. As a Roofer/Labourer, you will be involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of roofs, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Duties
- Carry out roofing installations and repairs on residential and commercial properties.
- Fabricate roofing materials as needed according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation of roofing systems.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labour as required during roofing projects.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Assist with masonry work when necessary, including building structures that support roofing systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- must have experience in roofing pitched and flat roofs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the day.
- Familiarity with carpentry, masonry.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina for working long hours on-site.
- A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not necessary.
