Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. Duties

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine roofing specifications and procedures.
• Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn roofing materials, ensuring weatherproofing and durability.
• utilise welding techniques where necessary for metal roofing components or flashing.
• Operate fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble roofing materials as required.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations.
• Assist with the installation of related systems such as plumbing or masonry components where applicable.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Must be able to go cement work

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing is preferred.
• Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery.
• Strong understanding of construction principles including roofing techniques and materials.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights comfortably.
• Familiarity with safety protocols specific to roofing environments.
• Physical fitness to carry out demanding tasks over extended periods.
• Relevant certifications or training in roofing or construction trades are advantageous but not essential.
