Decor Express currently have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Manager to join our team. As a Retail Sales Manager, you will take full responsibility for the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the store. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales growth, and achieving key business objectives. Maximise performance and ensure smooth store operations will be essential to the store’s success.

Salary:

Competitive salary starting from £39,000 depending on experience plus benefits:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive sales growth and profitability by analysing performance data and implementing effective sales strategies.
• Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and improve commercial results.
• Sales of a wide range of paints, tools & fixings, mostly in the shop but also sometimes on the telephone or online.
• Proactively resolve customer concerns and handle queries professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, presentation, and cleanliness in line with company guidelines
• Oversee stock control processes including ordering, deliveries, and inventory accuracy and stock take,
• Recruit, onboard, and train new team members.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and legal requirements.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of paints, tools and previous experience in DIY or Builders Merchant store is essential for this role,
• Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop teams
• High standards of customer service and excellent telephone manner,
• Proactive and sales driven attitude
• A driving licence would be useful,
• Ability to work as part of a team
• POS, IT and stock management skills
