Full job description

Our Ormeau Road Off-licence has a vacancy for an experienced retail assistant. Located in the heart of the community, most of our customers are “repeats”, therefore a friendly, welcoming personality is required. Flexibility toward working hours is essential.

Responsibilities – General

  • Greet customers politely
  • Offer assistance/recommendations when required
  • Ring up accurate sales
  • Keep shelves well stocked
  • Keep premises/stock clean & tidy
  • Cash up at end of shift

Responsibilities – Occasional

  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Checking in deliveries
  • Recording daily sales takings
  • Communicate with head office

Experience – Skills

  • 2+ years experience essential
  • Minimum GCSEs or equivalent
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the job
  • Honest and hard working
