The role will involve managing installations from start to finish, including preparing each job, ordering materials, coordinating and delegating tasks to subcontractors to make sure everything is ready ahead of client installations.

The Role:

As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality renewable energy installations from start to finish. These may vary from solar panels, batteries, EV chargers and air-source heat-pumps. Acting as the central point of coordination, you will ensure projects are efficiently planned, resourced and executed to the highest standards. Your responsibilities include:

• End-to-End Project Management: Oversee projects such as solar and battery installations from initial planning through to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Project Preparation & Planning: Prepare each installation by reviewing project requirements, scheduling works and ensuring all elements are in place ahead of site delivery.
• Procurement & Materials Management: Order and manage materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency while avoiding delays to installation schedules.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, delegating tasks effectively and ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to specification.
• Scheduling & Resource Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, aligning internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless installations.
• Site Readiness & Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects are fully prepared ahead of installation, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery.
• Client Communication: Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates, managing expectations and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Problem Solving & Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate project risks, responding quickly to challenges to keep projects on track.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales, engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth handovers and successful project execution.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and project delivery as the company scales.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Project Management Experience: Minimum 2+ years’ experience managing projects, ideally within construction, renewable energy or a related field.
• Domestic Electrical Systems Knowledge: Minimum 2+ years’ experience. Working knowledge of domestic electrical infrastructure (single-phase & three-phase systems, consumer units, and load distribution)
• Renewable Energy Knowledge (Desirable): Understanding of solar PV systems, battery storage or electrical installations is advantageous.
• Organisational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate teams and communicate clearly with clients and subcontractors.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in planning, ordering and execution to maintain high-quality delivery.
• Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using project management tools, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• License: Full UK Driving License with flexibility to travel to project sites when required.

Schedule:

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (30-minute lunch break).
• Installation Days: Installation days begin on-site at 8:00am. This requires attendance at the office between 6:00 – 7:00am for preparation and loading.
• Total Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours.
