Premises Assistant job at Bexleyheath Full Time NEW

Location: Bexleyheath
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Pay: £15+ per hour

Academics are currently recruiting for a School Premises Assistant to support a busy and friendly school in Bexleyheath. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous caretaking, maintenance, or facilities experience looking for a long-term role within a school setting.

Main Duties:

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school site
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repair work
• Assisting with site security, including opening and locking the premises
• Completing routine health & safety and premises checks
• Setting up classrooms and halls for events and activities
• Ensuring the school grounds remain clean, safe, and presentable
• Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues when required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has previous experience within caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site support
• Is reliable, practical, and proactive
• Has a good understanding of health & safety procedures
• Can work independently and manage workload effectively
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one
