At Action on Disability we support individuals to employ their own care and support staff (we are not a recruitment agency; we are a support service). This means you will not be employed by Action on Disability, but directly by the individual themselves or by a representative who is acting on their behalf.
About Our Client
We have a client based in London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham who is looking for a Personal Assistant. The Client is a hardworking and enthusiastic individual with a positive, can-do attitude, enjoys challenging himself and learning new skills, as he strongly believe that nothing is impossible with the right mindset. He is easy-going, friendly, and sociable, though he can be a little shy when meeting people for the first time.
He is a practical learner with the ability to think outside the box, and he enjoys spending time with others and exploring places he hasn’t seen. In his free time, he likes visiting museums, going to cafés and spending time in the park when the weather is nice. He also enjoy attending live music events and theatre shows.
He is looking for a Personal Assistant who is reliable, trustworthy, sensitive, and non-judgmental. It is important to him that they respect his boundaries, understand his individual needs, and share similar values.

- Support with daily filing
- Support with paper work and reading letters
- Support with finance and benefits
- Support with organising

- Support with managing mental health
*Duties may include, but are not limited to*:
- Food Preparation:
- Assistance with preparing fresh meals
- Tidying and washing up
- Life Admin:
- Assistance with finances and budgeting
- Opening and filing letters
- Relaying information
- Reminders for appointments
- Administering medication
- Domestic Duties:
- Mopping
- Hoovering
- Cleaning surfaces
- Tidying
- Support with Accessing the Community:
- Accompaniment on errands
- Assistance with navigating routes
- Assistance with a manual wheelchair
- assistance with reminding and attending appointments
Total around 15 hours every week

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £15.00 per hour
