Part-Time Finance & Accounts Manager

We are a growing group of businesses operating across multiple sectors including construction, renewable energy and hospitality, and are looking for an organised and experienced Finance & Accounts Manager to join our team in Stevenage.

This is a flexible part-time role, ideal for someone looking to work around school hours while taking ownership of day-to-day accounts and finance administration across a diverse range of businesses.

The Role

• Processing purchase ledger invoices and receipts
• Reconciling supplier accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Preparing payroll
• Tracking staff holidays and absences
• Checking supplier invoices against purchase orders
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reporting
• Supporting the management team with general finance administration

What We’re Looking For

• Previous accounts or finance experience essential
• Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation experience
• Experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns
• Payroll experience preferred
• Experience using Xero accounting software essential
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Professional, reliable and self-motivated approach
• Ability to manage workload independently
