Part-Time Cybersecurity Instructor — Remote (UK) — £25-£35/hr job at Remote Full Time

Learnfinity Ltd (UKPRN 10097136) is a UK edtech delivering 8-week bootcamps in Cybersecurity, Cloud & DevOps and Software Development. We’re hiring an experienced cybersecurity professional to deliver our live cohort sessions starting July 2026.

This is a part-time, fully remote role suited to working professionals who want to teach alongside their main job — most of our instructors deliver 1-2 sessions per week.

What you’ll do:

– Deliver live 2-3 hour cohort sessions covering SOC fundamentals, threat detection, incident response, network security and ethical hacking

– Walk students through hands-on labs (TryHackMe, HackTheBox-style exercises)

– Run weekly office hours and answer student questions in our Slack

– Mark practical assignments and review portfolio projects

– Support 8-15 students per cohort from week 1 to week 8

– Work from our existing curriculum and slide decks — no content creation required

What you’ll need:

– 3+ years professional experience as a SOC Analyst, Penetration Tester, Security Engineer, GRC Analyst or similar

– Working knowledge of SIEM tools, network security fundamentals, common attack vectors and defensive controls

– Industry certifications preferred but not required (CompTIA Security+, CEH, OSCP, CISSP)

– Comfortable presenting to small groups on Google Meet

– Reliable Saturday availability (sessions run Sat 12pm GMT)

– Strong communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to complete beginners

You’re a current cybersecurity professional who enjoys mentoring. You don’t need to be a professional teacher — you need real-world experience and the ability to explain it clearly to people new to the field. If you’ve ever mentored a junior, presented at a meetup, or trained colleagues — you’ll do well here.
