Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential to facilitate travel between sites. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide professional advice
- Manage time efficiently to complete projects within agreed deadlines
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition for consistent performance
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on larger projects when necessary
- Keep work areas tidy and dispose of waste materials responsibly
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable
- Knowledge of different painting techniques and surface preparation methods
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols relevant to the trade
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications is a plus
