About Us
Calibre Tuition is a rapidly growing online tutoring platform designed to support KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students. Our core philosophy is simple: the best mentors are those who have recently walked the path themselves.
We are building a team exclusively composed of ambitious university students and recent graduates. Because you have freshly navigated the exact exam boards and pressures our students are facing, you are uniquely equipped to connect with them, build their confidence, and demystify complex topics. We currently offer Mathematics, English, and Sciences, with more subjects launching soon.
The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, high-achieving university students or recent graduates to deliver engaging, high-impact online 1-to-1 tutoring sessions.
- Deliver personalised online tutoring sessions in Mathematics, English, or Science tailored to individual student needs.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Competitive Pay: £18/hour

Requirements
We maintain high academic standards to ensure top-tier quality for our clients. To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
- Current Student or Recent Graduate: Must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a UK university.
- Academic Excellence: A minimum of a Grade 8 at GCSE (or equivalent) AND at least a Grade A at A-Level in the specific subjects(s) you wish to tutor.
- Tech-Ready: Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection, a quiet workspace, a webcam, and a laptop/computer.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible, relatable way.
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching at school or university level (Recommended not required).
Contract & Safeguarding
- Status: This is a freelance, self-employed position. Tutors are responsible for managing their own tax and National Insurance contributions.
- Safeguarding: Calibre Tuition is committed to safeguarding children. All successful applications must be fully willing to undergo a UK Enhanced DBS check or hold a valid one. A declaration of any relevant criminal history will be required during the onboarding process in accordance with safer recruitment guidelines.
