Are you a skilled and safety-conscious driver looking for a dynamic role on the road?
We are a well-established and growing vehicle logistics company seeking a reliable and professional Car Transporter / Recovery Driver to join our team. This is a varied and responsible role, perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys no two days being the same.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of new vehicles and providing light recovery services for cars and vans. Your primary duties will include:
* Transporting new vehicles from distribution centres to customers and dealerships across the region.
* Conducting light/simple vehicle recovery (winch on rolling vehicles/drive on).
* Safely loading, securing, and unloading vehicles.
* Completing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate logs.
* Providing excellent customer service to dealerships and clients.
* Ensuring all work is carried out in strict compliance with health & safety regulations and driving hours rules.
What We’re Looking For:
* A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. Class C1E is required as a minimum. Class 1 and 2 desirable. Smallest vehicle in fleet is 5.2tonne with trailer (transporting 2 cars at a time).
* A professional and courteous manner with a strong focus on safety.
* Excellent spatial awareness and driving skills.
* The ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule effectively.
The Following Experience is Highly Desirable:
* Proven experience in loading and unloading vehicles.
* Experience in winching vehicles onto a trailer.
* Experience in towing trailers.
