Your new company is a Lloyd’s Broker that has worked together to create solutions in (re)insurance broking and risk management for their clients around the world for the past 17 years. They have successfully worked with a wide range of risks and have developed high-level networking with local markets on five continents. Due to growth within their LATAM team, a position for a Spanish-speaking Technician/Account handler has arisen.

Your new role

Your new role as a Technician/Account handler will be working within the LATAM team where you will be supporting the day-to-day placement and servicing of LATAM business across all classes to include non-marine, marine and aviation risks. A key element of your role will be preparing and issuing market and client documentation, including new business, renewals, endorsements, certificates and presentations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all areas. Other tasks will include producing MRC slips and endorsements, loading of risks on to Whitespace and chasing underwriters, liaising with clients and Producing Underwriters daily. Other duties will include account management and, on occasions, Broking as and when necessary. You will be expected to speak in Spanish on a daily basis.

What you’ll need to succeed

Your previous experience working within a Technical capacity will contribute to your success in this role and ideally be able to produce an MRC slip (however this can be taught). You must be a Spanish speaker to work in this team. This position would suit a candidate who can throw themselves into tasks and deal with a variety of responsibilities.
