Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Maintain and support computer hardware components such as desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
• Configure and manage network components including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and switches to ensure secure connectivity.
• Assist in the setup, installation, and upgrade of software applications such as Microsoft Office suite and specialised enterprise tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira.
• Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime or security breaches.
• Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of incidents using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies or upgrades that improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with organisational security policies by managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
• Provide training or guidance to users on new systems or software applications to enhance user experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong understanding of computer networking principles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues across Windows.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure including LAN configuration, VPNs, firewalls, and switches.
• Experience with hardware maintenance and upgrades for desktops, laptops, servers, or peripherals.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow for incident management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Competence in using Microsoft Office applications efficiently.

Pay: £35,200.00-£35,500.00 per year
