IT Support Specialist job at Plymouth Full Time

We are looking for a hands-on IT Support Specialist to support the day-to-day running of our internal systems, infrastructure and ERP platform.

This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working across multiple systems and playing a key part in keeping a business running smoothly.

The Role

You will act as the first point of contact for IT support across the business, helping to maintain systems, resolve issues and ensure users can work efficiently.

Working closely with the IT Manager, you will support the maintenance of our server environment, ERP system (Odoo) and website, assisting with updates, fixes and ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support across the business
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues
• Set up and manage user accounts, devices and permissions
• Support maintenance of Windows Server and network infrastructure
• Monitor system performance, backups and uptime
• Assist with Odoo administration, updates and testing
• Maintain and update website content and basic front-end changes
• Support system upgrades, rollouts and internal projects
• Liaise with external IT and software providers where required

About You

• Experience in an IT support or similar role
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of Windows environments and basic networking
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and priorities
• Organised, reliable and proactive in approach

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to ERP systems (Odoo preferred)
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Understanding of databases or system integrations
• Interest in development (Python or JavaScript)
