Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to identify business needs, analyse processes, and deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and support strategic objectives.
The IT Business Analyst will gather and document requirements, support system implementations, and ensure that business solutions align with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives
- Analyse current business processes and identify areas for improvement
- Gather, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements
- Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process maps
- Work closely with software developers, testers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle
- Support system design, testing, implementation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder discussions
- Monitor project progress and assist with issue resolution
- Conduct data analysis and produce reports to support decision-making
- Ensure solutions comply with business needs, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Provide training and support to end users where required
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar role
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Pay: £32,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
