About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Income Maximisation Manager to lead income collection and debt reduction activity within a large housing service. This role will be responsible for developing and driving income maximisation strategy, overseeing complex arrears cases, and managing a high-performing income team to ensure effective rent and service charge collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver an income maximisation strategy to improve collection rates and reduce debt
• Manage and performance-manage a team of income officers and assistants
• Oversee complex arrears cases, ensuring appropriate legal compliance and safeguarding considerations
• Develop and manage service level agreements with internal teams to support income collection
• Provide expert advice on housing legislation, welfare reform and best practice income collection
• Monitor performance data, identify risks and drive continuous service improvement
• Ensure a customer-focused, fair and consistent approach to income recovery

Essential Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience in income collection within a housing environment
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, welfare reform and pre-action protocols
• Proven experience managing teams and delivering performance improvements
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to operate at a strategic level
• CIH Level 4 qualification or equivalent relevant experience
