Healthcare Assistant
15 per hour | Gloucester
The role
We’re looking for a passionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Radiology team. Putting patients first, you’ll be given time to care for each person as a unique individual.
Our Radiology clinics are busy and colleagues will rely on your support. Together, you’ll deliver the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment. Where you’ll be based
Winfield Hospital is one of Gloucestershire’s leading private hospitals, located on the outskirts of the City of Gloucester. It is situated off the Northern Ring Road with excellent road and rail links. The hospital opened in 1992 and currently has 39 beds including thirty four single rooms all with en-suite facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Post processing of examinations
Ordering stock of consumable items
Supporting Radiologists during clinics – ultrasound and fluoroscopy
Making sure the working environment is clean and hygienic
Preparing patients for treatment
Checking the US equipment and reporting faults
Requesting for images for patients’ clinics
Sending patients’ images to other hospitals via IEP
What you’ll bring with you
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proven customer services skills
Be a highly motivated individual
Enjoy working in constantly and rapidly changing environments
Great communication skills
Flexible approach to your duties and your hours
Good observation skills
Ability to keep up to date and learn new skills
