General Operative job at Swansea Full Time

alfour Beatty is looking for a motivated General Operative to join our Power T&D team, supporting high-voltage overhead transmission projects across wales

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of project stores and site operations, working closely with HGV Drivers, Stores teams, and site operatives.

You’ll support the day-to-day running of site and yard operations, including:

• Assisting with loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Supporting stock control, materials handling, and plant coordination
• Checking deliveries for quality, quantity, and damage
• Coordinating materials to meet site operational needs
• Maintaining a safe, organised, and secure working yard
• Supporting plant and equipment hire processes
• Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements

You’ll also work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep projects running efficiently

Essential:

• Full clean UK driving licence
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Desirable:

• Experience within construction or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of the power / utilities sector
• Telehandler licence
• OHL authorisations
• First Aid at Work
